The Home
Farm is situated within easy reach of many beauty spots and places of
interest. Lying half a dozen miles from the Potteries and the Gladstone
pottery Museum, it is near to Barlaston where the Wedgewood Factory is
situated.
It is equidistant from Birmingham and Manchester and within easy
access to the M6 and has Trentham Gardens on its door-step while the Manifold
and Dove Valleys set in Derbyshire's glorious peak district are only an
hour away. Alton Towers, Chester Zoo and the West Midland Safari park are
within easy travelling distance.
Like many Saxon villages Swynnerton had its Home Farm usually the oldest
farm in the area. Swynnerton's home farm house which has been occupied by
the family for over 100 years, revealed some of its wattle and daub
construction during restoration.
